Thrilled that my painting ‘Kids in the rain’, is heading to its new home in Sweden

Simona. Legs pounded. Calf muscle screaming. That decent, which has us searching for help when cycling up its slopes. Reconnaissance of the last 13km of the Knysna Oyster half marathon run, with the fabulous Forest section.

Last few glitches sorted for the live streaming test for the studio painting demonstration that will be part of the Virtual Oyster Festival. The large cheetah cubs canvas allowing for the ‘theater of paint’. Exhausting!

While that simplicity of line escapes me, inspired by the magnificent work of Michele Nagrini, there are patches that excite. Fortunately, there is the option of trashing it and letting the painting breath.

The beauty of Gouna River pass at first light. Delicate white water-lilies searching for the sunlight. Tired legs forcing the slowness to the marvels I normally rush past. Inspirational.

Not the easiest week managing my trampolining blood sugars. Perhaps it’s the moon?

  • Cheetah painting is sensational, Jan! Keep the purple please! Less-worked, it’s beautiful. (No pressure!) 🙂 Also love the photo of the river.
