Harbour Town Adventures

Thrilled that my commissioned portrait ‘Deurmekaar Weskus’ has been selected for the 6th International Faces and Figures Exhibition, from 601 entries. The sides of the portrait sorted.
Load shedding darkness. Milky Way striking. Firefly, fishing boats out on the estuary. Perfect, pork-belly on the Kamado Jan.
MTB ride through Gouna Pass to the Italian church. Mist tendrils amongst the Forest, carrying secrets of silk-spinners, and phantoms. Magical. Legends, intertwined with the silk scarf, wearable art of my paintings.
Butterflies taking over the studio as the first tree installation trial piece is installed and the Butterfly Forest continues to grow.
Working on how to construct the Butterfly Mobile. Might need a rigid framework, rather than the lengths of plastic cut from the water bottles. Somehow, that seems to defeat the concept of using recycled plastic water bottles.

Congrats on your Finalist award! Excellent “windblown” portrait. I also like the “mist tendrils, silk spinners and phantoms” bit ! 🙂
