Finalist in the International ‘Colourful Abstractions’ Exhibition from 601 entries. I hadn’t finished the piece by the submission date, so had to submit only a portion of the completed work.
Vegetation, unique to the Western Cape in South Africa, and sits with Fynbos as part of the Cape Floral Kingdom. With its profusion of bulbs, the dull grey summer look is transformed into a collidoscope of colour in late winter and early spring.

So, the World Record for a Grand Masters 10km run is 32 minutes and 48seconds, and a Type-1 diabetic has run the 10km in the 29’s, which kind of ‘tsunami’s’ my pedestrian 50 minutes and 33 second run. That said, the extra effort, did push my heart-rate into the 190’s and certainly dumped a bunch of glucose to spike my blood sugars. ACL behaved for the most part, and running in the warm rain, with a cooling breeze, joyous.
