My recycled plastic water bottle butterflies on canvas artwork ‘Rhenosterveld’ can be viewed at the ‘Coming Home’ exhibition at the Imibala Gallery in Graaff-Reinet.

Clear and cold after the storms for my run up Welbedacht hill. I certainly need calf compression socks to ease into the cooler weather.

The wonder of a fire, with baked Brie in its ceramic container, before slow roasted lamb, served with spinach filled squash and butternut.

Spectacular day in the sunshine on the J9 deck. A tad too much wine, while the software updates catchup to the real world. This is Knysna!

Portrait painting ‘The Artist’, oil on canvas 80cmx80cm done. For the black top of the portrait, I used a mixture of Burnt Umber and Ultramarine Blue for an opaque black, and a mixture of Ultramarine Blue and Madder Lake Red for a translucent black for highlights.

For the blond hair I used Van Dylan Brown (Maimeri No 484), Transparent Gold Ochre (Utrecht Artists Oil) with Naples Yellow and Cerulean Blue for highlights. Skin tones, a mixture of Yellow Ochre and Quinacidone Rose, with Alizarin Crimson. A grey mixture of Burnt Sienna and Cobalt Blue for shadows. Van Dyk Ferrario Blue Indigo, No 57, for the eyes.

A bunch of blood test as the Dr not one scrap happy with my crazy blood-sugars and wild blood pressure. Wine the initial casualty and my exercise cut back to moderate levels.
