Core muscles pounded to mush on the Buffs trail ride. While not technical, still demanding through soft sand and the ride along the railway line section. Spectacular it is, Early sunshine on the breaking waves at the Wild Side. Breathtaking. Only a hint of blood between the mud and sweat.

A few crazy warm winter days, before storms scream in. Vibrating energy. Winds howling.

Terry’s, diabetic sensitive, inspired Yotam Ottolenghi cauli-fritters. Not your usual fritters. Packed with flavour; Punch! A Greek yoghurt dipping sauce. Served with braaied Karoo lamb rib chops. Simply magical.

Also did a Tandoori chicken. Not sure the flavours were balanced with the strong cauli-fritters, or the braai smokiness. Definitely moreish!

Officially joined the ‘Innoculati’. COVID, 1st jab done, while the world around us continues to unravel.

In his time Jan has been an electronics, nuclear and power system engineer, a strategist, a humanitarian and an artist. A career path linked by creativity and innovative thinking. Initially trained at the Johannesburg College of Art, Jan has won numerous international awards and has exhibited nationally and internationally. He can be found in his studio ‘Jandreart’ located at Thesen Harbour Town, Knysna.
