Line Art pen and charcoal on 300gram paper

To celebrate Bastille Day and surviving the Tour de France, Keto Gougères (cheese balls). A tad fiddly to make, but moreish!

Concept pieces looking at different aspects of Line Art to create Abstract Paintings. While much of Line Art is around the ‘flow’ of lines, without interruption and using the thickness of the line to add depth or weight to the composition. Yayoi Kusama used individual lines for her Line Art.

Translating the concept pieces into oil on canvas paintings, with my finger painting technique, a tad more challenging. White under-painting on the canvas waiting to dry.

Karoo Fusion, Lockdown dinner challenge. Terry’s menu.

Smoked snoek blinis with caviar and Nicholas Follett 🥂

Aubergine and toasted chèvre with powdered biltong

Bobotie crepes with L’Aqueduc (red wine), served with roast pumpkin tarte tartin and caramelised onion

Spicy chocolate mousse with rooibos infused cream and spekboom

Weather turned crazy. Gale-force winds hammering the studio, while the rain turns Prince’s coat into silk.
