‘Kaleidoscope’
Acrylic and Recycled Water Bottle Butterflies on Canvas

The collective noun for butterflies; kaleidoscope, which seemed appropriate for the light reflections off the various facets of the plastic water bottle butterflies.

An abstract painting study,  where I sculptures the canvas with white paint to reinforce the dynamic flow of the colours on the butterflies.

Terry, my guiding hand home after an A1 dinner with Chef Hirsch. Chev wrapped in Pancetta, with micro-greens starter, followed by seared tuna salad and grilled fillet served with broccoli, grilled tomatoes and parmesan shavings. Oodles of wine, the R62 and Bergsig Reserve Chenin, excellent.

For some reason, my arm (trashed on my fall while out running) has reacted to the plaster. So the original graze is now an even bigger mess. Fortunately, the bruising has settled.

A rare moment of sunshine in a week of rain. Terry made us an artichoke with lemon butter starter.
