collection of black and white animal paintings from Addo Elephant Park
Nyathi Series 2
Acrylic on canvas 2,1mx1m

The first 32 paintings for the Nyathi Series 2 art work are done, from our trip to Addo Elephant Park. I will do another 8 or so for greater impact.

Goukamma to Buffs trial run with Prince. Short. Fierce. Humidity in the Forest section punishing. As were the hills up the sand dunes. Only fell once, with a strip of skin torn from my arm.

Blood, for sure. Sporting a bunch of white plaster, care of Coreta’s magic box of tricks.

Chairs, tables, doors, and windows stashed as the storms tear through, driving Prince demented.

Chef Lucy did an Anniversary dinner for us with a magic Jan Hendrik inspired Camembert and Cognac soak cake. Delicious indeed.

The abstract under-painting for the Key River Mouth inspired seascape is finished. I’m thinking of using the recycled plastic water-bottle butterflies against the background. The previous butterflies were all painted with acrylic paint, however for this one I want to try oil paint. Still using the salt-bush for the mark making on the back of the butterflies. Could be a tad messy!
