A good 80% of the traffic lights were out of order, which when brewed with a driving culture that ignores stop signs and traffic lights, is probably safer as you aren’t expecting traffic to stop at a red traffic lights.
I did find it amazingly stressful!
Of course, this is South Africa, and Jozie. So, the fact that homeless guys, are manning the intersections as Points Men, and doing it brilliantly, can only bring a smile and – hopefully – make us all that little bit tolerant of those less fortunate than we are.
The ‘Deli on the Corner’, didn’t disappoint. The cheese, and charcuterie splendid. Combined with delicious, inexpensive wine, sensational.

Thunder and lightning shaking the skies. The air, charged with possibilities.
My legs not enjoying the hills. Especially with the serious running types tearing up the pavements. Not even my super, new running shoes made much of an impact. Thrilled that I found a pair, as the supply chains are still struggling. Whether it’s art supplies, or running shoes.
