Acrylic and Recycled Plastic Water Bottle Butterflies on Canvas 200cmx150cm

The light stretcher-bars holding the canvas meant that there was quite a lot of flex across the length of the canvas adding a different dimension to keep the geometric lines of butterflies straight.

Fortunately, the nature of the painting with each butterfly its own artwork, making the imperfections arresting.

The Studio made an excellent venue for Terry’s birthday on a stunning, bubbly day. Sides of hot-smoked salmon and Terry’s scrumptious terrine de campagne, with hunks of cheese were perfect. Music from the talented Wendy Dewberry, Terry’s master-stroke.

Excellent Stellakya wine-pairing dinner at the Turbine. Norwegian salmon tartar &a crab bisque parfait with creme fraiche, garlic crostini & sumac, venison carpaccio with caper, parsley butter & Parmesan shavings. Flame grilled beef ribeye and bone marrow with confit baby potatoes, sage and pumpkin purée.
