Elephants squeezed by the boundaries of the canvas, giving them added protection from the hovering lions.

The smooth canvas from the Tings-Tinga painters driving me nuts, as it has no texture to work with, which I am doing my best to use for a painting in the soft morning light.

Painting elephants is exhausting!

The painting did get more elaborate that I thought, looking for the minimum of complexity. Didn’t work out like that!
